New Delhi, October 21, 2024 — The Indian Chamber of Commerce (ICC), a leading national business association, has announced the appointment of Abhyuday Jindal as its new president. The announcement was made during ICC’s annual plenary session held in New Delhi, where Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal served as the chief guest.
In his keynote address, Minister Piyush Goyal underscored the pivotal role of young leaders like Abhyuday Jindal in shaping India's economic landscape. He called on the ICC to broaden its support for startups and women entrepreneurs, emphasizing the need for an evolving startup ecosystem that promotes innovation and inclusivity.
Goyal stressed the importance of leveraging government initiatives aimed at enhancing skill development and employment opportunities for youth. He encouraged the ICC to position India as a global tourism hub, facilitating connections between local talent and international opportunities.
“The India story is shining bright, and the world is watching,” Goyal asserted, advocating for robust collaboration between industry and government to build a prosperous nation.
As the newly appointed president, Abhyuday Jindal articulated his vision of making the ICC a catalyst for economic growth and innovation. His commitment includes strengthening the ICC's role in supporting India’s ambition to become a USD 35 trillion economy by 2047.

Jindal plans to promote sustainable business practices and advocate for inclusive growth. He emphasized the necessity of developing policies that empower Indian industries on the global stage, fostering a competitive environment for businesses to thrive.
Discussion on Bilateral Relations
Jindal also engaged in discussions with Antonio Bartoli, the Ambassador of Italy to India, focusing on enhancing bilateral relations amid recent geopolitical challenges, such as the Red Sea crisis. He advocated for international collaboration to secure trade routes and promote cultural exchanges, further solidifying India’s position in the global market.
In addition to Jindal’s appointment, the ICC has welcomed new leaders to its executive team:
Brij Bhushan Agarwal, Vice Chairman and Managing Director of Shyam Metalics, has been appointed as the Senior Vice President of ICC.
Parthiv Vikram Neotia, Executive Director of Ambuja Neotia, will assume the role of Vice President.
