On October 2024, Air Chief Marshal AP Singh officially took over as the Chief of Air Staff (CAS) of the Indian Air Force (IAF) in a ceremony held at Air Headquarters (Vayu Bhawan). AP Singh’s journey began when he was commissioned into the IAF on 21st December 1984. He honed his skills in various prestigious military institutions such as the National Defence Academy (NDA) and the National Defence College (NDC). Throughout his service, he has excelled particularly in the fighter aircraft division, a critical component of India's defense capabilities.
His 40 years of experience in different roles have allowed him to rise through the ranks, proving his leadership abilities at every stage. Notably, Singh's expertise in operations, flight testing, and squadron management is regarded as crucial in the evolving operational landscape of the IAF.
