BharatGen: Pioneering Generative AI for a Self-Reliant India

BharatGen, an ambitious new project in the realm of generative artificial intelligence (AI), is set to transform public services and enhance citizen participation across India. Officially launched in New Delhi by Dr. Jitendra Singh, the Union Minister of State, BharatGen aligns with India’s vision of becoming a global leader in advanced technologies and aims to leverage AI for societal good.

At the core of BharatGen's mission is the development of AI models capable of processing language, speech, and visual information. The initiative seeks to tackle various social challenges while focusing on several key goals:

The project is spearheaded by the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Bombay under the National Mission on Interdisciplinary Cyber-Physical Systems (NM-ICPS).
